Fresh off winning the Class 4A basketball title last season, the Ridge View boys’ basketball team opens the 2024-25 season ranked first in Class 5A.
The Blazers, who were also preseason 18th nationally by Maxpreps.com, were the top selection in Division I by the S.C Basketball Coaches Association. The group held its preseason Media Day Wednesday at Blythewood High School where the full Top 10 list was released to the public.
Forward Korie Corbett was selected to the SCBCA Elite Boys’ team and Blythewood’s Taurus Lewis was named among the Top Five Division I seniors.
In girls basketball, Ridge View’s Anasia Harvey was a Class 5A Division I Top Senior. Westwood’s Destiny Omeire was a Division II Top Senior.
