Cardinal Newman wins Raider Invitational (Page 42)

The Cardinal Newman volleyball team won the Gold Division of the Raider Invitational at Greenville High School this past weekend. The defending SCISA Class 4A champions won straight set matches in -pool play against Blue Ridge, Wade Hampton and Wren. The Lady Cardinals then defeated the host school 25-6, 25-14 to advance to the final where they beat Wren a second time 25-21, 25-18 for the title.

 Lauren Rivers and Khylie Remmenga were named to the All-tournament team and Leila Hargrice was named tournament MVP.
