A job fair specifically designed for second chance employers who would like to meet a group of potential employees; service providers who have programs and services for the formerly incarcerated; and Employees who have arrest records and/or have been formerly incarcerated and are looking for gainful employment will be held this Wednesday, July 17 from 9 am – 4 pm.
The event will be held at the Cecil Tillis Center, 2111 Simpkins Lane, Columbia.
It is being offered by REEMERGE and Carolinas AGC
REEMERGE is a reintegration program that uses employment, coaching, and entrepreneurship education to assist in combating the barriers of reentry. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency and administered through DESA, Inc. in Richland and Lexington Counties.
Carolinas AGC (CAGC) is a construction trade association made up of contractors and construction-related firms that perform work in North Carolina and South Carolina.
As part of their workforce development initiative, Carolinas AGC has partnered with REEMERGE for a series of events designed to provide awareness, jobs and training opportunities that will assist in developing a workforce that will benefit their member organizations.
