Columbia Now Accepting Nominations for Treasured Trees Program (Page 95)

The Columbia Forestry and Beautification Department is inviting nominations for its 2024 Treasured Tree Program through November 1. This program aims to highlight and recognize trees of special significance in the Midlands area, while promoting the importance and benefits of trees to the local community.

Trees located on both public and private property within the Greater Columbia Metropolitan Area are eligible for nomination. Anyone can submit a nomination, but the property owner must be involved in the process.

To nominate a tree, contact the Forestry and Beautification Department at 803-545-3860 to request a nomination form.
