COLUMBIA, S.C. – Capital City/Lake Murray Country (CCLMC) will host the National Crappie League (NCL) Wild Card Tournament on October 3–4, 2025 at Lake Murray. The two-day fishing competition will bring top anglers from across the nation to one of the Southeast’s premier fishing destinations.
Public Highlights:
Daily Weigh-Ins: Held at Dreher Island State Park (3677 State Park Rd., Prosperity). Contestants must be in line by 4:00 p.m. each day.
Free Kids Fishing Rodeo – Saturday, Oct. 4: Open to children ages 12 and under. Registration runs from 8:00–9:00 a.m., with fishing from 9:00–10:30 a.m. Kids should bring a rod and bait and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Prizes will be awarded.
Prime Fishing Season: Cooler October weather promises excellent conditions as crappie move into creek channels and submerged timber—perfect for both Semi-Pro and Amateur anglers.
