Annual photo exhibit honors children and youth living with a disability
Family Connection of South Carolina (FCSC) has announced Groucho’s Deli as the presenting sponsor of LOOK. 2022.
This year’s LOOK. photography collection will be on exhibit at the Richland County Library Gallery downtown. A private reception for photographers, sponsors, and families served will be held July 23. The exhibit will be open to the public July 24 – September 16.
To create the exhibit, professional photographers from across the state volunteer their time to offer individual photo sessions with families who have a child or youth with a disability or chronic healthcare need. The inspiring photos capture active, candid moments of the participants doing the things they like to do best.
Deric Rosenbaum of Groucho’s shares why Groucho’s is committed to supporting LOOK. 2022:
“As parents in the Columbia Metro community, my wife Melissa and I are proud to be a small part of helping support the efforts of Family Connection and the LOOK. photography exhibit,” said Deric Rosenbaum of Groucho’s Deli. “We hope this event helps our neighbors to pause, reflect, and see disability in a different way. We appreciate what the LOOK. photography exhibit offers and are honored to support and celebrate the abilities of these amazing youth.”
Amy Holbert, CEO of Family Connection said, “We are honored to have Groucho’s Deli as our Presenting Sponsor of LOOK. 2022. Their commitment to help bring this important exhibit to the public helps promote our goals of creating inclusion, equity, and community. The intent of LOOK. is to highlight the beauty and unique abilities of these children and youth who just happen to be living with a disability.”
In addition to Groucho’s Deli as Presenting Sponsor, LOOK. 2022 is sponsored by Healthy BlueSM, BlueChoice HealthPlan of South Carolina, McGuire Woods Consulting, Richland/Lexington Disabilities and Special Needs Board, B106.7 FM, and HealthLinks Magazine.
“We are seeking additional event sponsors and donors to help us celebrate the families of LOOK.” said John Roberts, Chairman of the Board for Family Connection of South Carolina. “I encourage our business community, families, and individuals to help Family Connection continue changing lives and empowering families.” Sponsorship and donation opportunities can be found at www.familyconnectionsc.org/look/ or by calling 803-995-1413.
