Northeast Columbia will once again serve as an early season display for high school basketball.

The Bash makes its return to Ridge View High School. For the 11th year, star-studded teams from within and outside South Carolina will compete from Dec. 7-9 at the school gymnasium.

The full schedule and matchups will be announced at a later date.

Along with the host team, Blythewood, the field includes Lexington and defending Class 2A champion Gray Collegiate. Among the out-of-state teams are traditional power Oak Hill Academy, headed by former Blazers’ coach Yerrick Stoneman, Sunrise Christian, Long Island Lutheran with Kiyan Anthony, the son of former NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, Sunrise Christian (Kansas), St. Francis Episcopal (Texas) and Canyon International Academy (Arizona).

Other players with scholarship offers from power conferences and are ranked by ESPN include Lexington guard Cam Scott, Ridge View’s Joshua Smith and Jayden Pretty and Oak Hill Academy’s Micah Robinson.

“It has always been our goal to provide student-athletes, coaches and fans an incredible experience at The Bash,” said Brian Rosefield, The Bash Director. “This year’s field and the partnership with the NIBC has made it to where The Bash is, without a doubt, the finest high school basketball showcase in the country.

“We look forward to bringing another first-class weekend of basketball to the City of Columbia, Richland County, and the state of South Carolina. We are excited about the possibility of having ESPN coverage for this event as well!”
