Columbia is set to host the first of three fundraising events for Sistercare, an organization dedicated to helping victims and families recover from domestic violence. The inaugural event will take place during the Soda City Market downtown, aiming to raise funds and awareness.
Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities, including a dunking booth, raffle drawings featuring prizes from local Columbia businesses, and free yard games. Information booths from Sistercare, local public safety partners, and the City of Columbia will also be available.
Dunk Booth Tickets:
- $5 for three throws
- $10 for seven throws
- $30 for an instant dunk
Dunk Tank Participants:
- 10 – 10:30 am: Chief Skip Holbrook, Columbia Police Department
- 10:30 – 11 am: Tyler Ryan, ABC Columbia Anchor
- 11 – 11:30 am: Trevon Fordham, Director of Violent Crime Prevention
- 11:30 am – noon: Ken Walker, Local Entrepreneur & Influencer
- Noon – 12:30 pm: Ariel Thomas, Columbia-Richland Fire Department
- 12:30 – 1 pm: Sergeant Allen Brinson Jr., Columbia Police Department

To buy tickets online for the dunk booth and raffle in advance, visit Sistercare Harness Giving. Bring a confirmation receipt of your donation to redeem for tickets. If you cannot participate, you can still donate to Sistercare on-site or online. You can also sign up for the Mayor’s Walk Against Domestic Violence on Saturday, October 5, at Page Ellington Park.
