Carter Lirgg made Cardinal Newman wrestling history over the weekend.
The 106-pounder won his weight class at the Prep Slam tournament in Atlanta, Ga. The annual event invites 60 teams from nine states and the top-ranked Cardinals brought in eight wrestlers.
Eli Lorang placed fifth at the Prep Slam.
