Spring is here, which means it’s time to start swinging a golf club again. Begin by taking a few practice swings in the yard and rolling some putts on the carpet inside to get your feel back.
Before scheduling tee times with your regular playing partners, consider making a few trips to the driving range to loosen up and rebuild your swing rhythm. If you have a company outing or charity tournament coming up, try sneaking out to the course for a quiet nine-hole practice round on your own. Playing without pressure can help you focus on your game and regain confidence.
Early in the season is also a good time to evaluate your equipment. You may want to replace worn grips on older clubs or check out some of the latest gear available. Many clubs and ranges host demo days where golfers can try new equipment.
Golfers can explore new options during a demo day at Par Tee Driving Range on Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
