Friday Night Laser Lights at the South Carolina State Museum returns with health and safety precautions in place this Friday, August 21.

There will be shows featuring lasers and CGI visuals choreographed to music by Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd inside the museum’s 55ft digital dome BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium. Doors open at 6 pm. Shows are at 6:30 pm, 8 pm, 9:30 pm, and 11 pm.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote, this evening will also feature access to the exhibit, A Voice of Her Own: SC Women in Politics.

A cash bar and food truck will also be available.

The museum will manage capacities to facilitate social distancing as well as increasing cleaning efforts between shows. Per Governor Henry McMaster’s executive order, guests aged 3 and above are required to wear a face-covering while visiting state buildings.

Capacity is limited, tickets available at the door or by phone at 803-898-4978. Tickets are $10 general public / $8 for museum members for one show and $15 general public / $12 for museum members for two shows.
