Cardinal Newman is once again dominating SCISA wrestling this season.

The Cardinals are coming off a 3-day stretch in which it rolled past region rival Ben Lippen (64-18) and swept a tri-match in Florence against Lake City (78-6) and Trinity Collegiate School (78-3). It remained in the top spot in the scmat.com SCISA rankings.

Both Blythewood teams remain in the Top 10 in Class 5A Division I. The Bengals are ranked ninth, while the Lady Bengals remain at fourth after a third place finish at the Collin Rose Classic at Stall High School.

Kami Burba took gold at 140 pounds after pinning Rock Hill’s Alexis Atkinson-Frank in 34 seconds. Audrey Petroff was runner-up at 155 pounds after losing by decision.
