The new year has brought a national honor to longtime Cardinal Newman boys’ soccer coach Will Eudy.

He was named Independent High School Boys Coach of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches on Jan. 3. He was one of numerous award recipients voted on by their coaching peers on the high school, junior and senior college, youth, and club soccer level.

Eudy and the other honorees will be honored this Friday at the U.S. Coaches Awards Ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Chicago, Ill.

This past year saw Eudy complete his 18th season with the Cardinals by leading them to their 10th consecutive SCISA boys title. Prior to Cardinal Newman, Eudy coached at alma mater Brookland-Cayce and the U.S. Development Academy.
