Make it a ‘3-peat’ for Blythewood golfer Carolina Hawkins.

Playing on the Lady Bengals’ home course of Columbia Country Club, the junior led on both days to claim the Class 5A Division I title.

Hawkins finished Wednesday with a 2-day total of 5-under-par 139 to become the third player in state history to win three consecutive individual titles. She won by seven shots over Wando’s Grace Lindsey to join Chesnee’s Olivia Roberts and Strom Thurmond’s McKenzie Talbert, who accomplished the feat from 2010-12, in the SCHSL record book.

Blythewood finished tied with Ashley Ridge for fifth overall with a score of 693. Dorman also pulled off a ‘3-peat’ in winning the team title with a score of 647.

River Bluff placed second with a score of 659, one shot better than third place Lexington, followed by Carolina Forest. The Lady Gators’ Caitlyn Gaines finished fifth to earn All-State honors.
