Devon Crumpton is headed to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time.
The Spring Valley graduate and University of South Carolina sophomore secured a trip to Eugene, Ore. in the 400 meters this past weekend at the East Regional in Lexington, Ky.
He ran a new personal best of 44.83 seconds to place third in his heat and seventh overall. It was the fourth fastest time in program history.
Crumpton will be joined at the championships running June 10-13 by Jaouad Khchina who placed fifth overall in the 1500 meters. He was also part of the 4×400 meter relay team which despite finishing 14th overall, ran the eighth fastest outdoor time in team history.
