Senator Mia McLeod and Jalisa Washington-Price join Rep. Gilda Cobb-Hunter and former Rep. Mandy Powers Norrell
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – State Representative Russell Ott has earned the endorsement of several prominent women leaders in his campaign for state senate.
Senator Mia McLeod, political activist and Richland County native Jalisa Washington-Price, Representative Gilda Cobb-Hunter, and former Representative Mandy Powers Norrell are supporting Ott because of his strong record in the state legislature.
Senator McLeod is the latest legislator to announce her support for Ott. By contrast, Senator Dick Harpootlian boasts no endorsements from any of his colleagues in the legislature.
Rep. Gilda Cobb-Hunter announced her support in a video released on Wednesday [X, Instagram, Facebook], in which she said: “I’ve sat beside Russell Ott here in the State House for the last eleven years. I want you to know that the women of South Carolina can trust Russell Ott.”
