The State Fair is bringing back its COVID-19 friendly drive-through fair food event. Favorite fair foods will be available to buy from 10 am to 8 pm April 19, through April 24. Find details on scstatefair.org and follow @scstatefair on social media.

“One positive outcome of COVID-19 was the inception of our drive-through fair food event.” S.C. State Fair General Manager Nancy Smith said. “This event has been very popular with the community, and we are bringing it back again with hopes of making it a new fair tradition.”

Guests will not want to miss this extra opportunity to indulge in their fair food favorites. In a twist on the restaurant drive-through concept, patrons will be able to drive into the Lexington Medical Center Fair Park on the fairgrounds to buy Fiske fries, funnel cakes, roasted corn and more.

The entrance is through Gate 6 on George Rogers Boulevard. Guests will then wind through the parking lot until they reach six separate lines for fair food, all containing the same offerings. This traffic pattern allows for speed and efficiency so you can reach your yummy fair food quickly. The following favorite fair foods will be available:

• Fiske fries
• Corn dogs
• Roasted corn
• Fried Oreos, cookie dough and cheesecake
• Sausage sandwiches
• Turkey Legs
• Funnel cakes
• Elephant ears
• Cotton candy
• Candy apples
• Caramel corn
• Pepsi brand 20 oz. bottled drinks and water

In other news, South Carolina State Fair partner, Circle K, presented the South Carolina State Fair with $20,000 on March 18. The check is a donation to the South Carolina State Fair’s Ride of Your Life scholarship program.

Circle K realizes the importance of building relationships and making a difference in the communities they serve. For the second year in a row, Circle K, in conjunction with EMC Tickets, voted to donate to the S.C. State Fair’s scholarship program.

“We believe in the South Carolina State Fair’s mission to educate the youth of South Carolina. The fair is a strong partner with Circle K, and we are excited to help South Carolina high school seniors achieve their goals,” said Lauren Conner, Regional Director of Operations, Circle K Southeast.

The SC State Fair continues to award $300,000 annually in scholarships. This year’s fifty recipients of the $6,000 scholarships will be announced in May 2022. For more information on the scholarship program visit scstatefair.org.
