Three Spring Valley High School band students (under the direction of Eric McGee), successfully completed the audition process and their scores gained their seats in the 2023 South Carolina Senior All-State Band.
They spent a weekend in March in Greenville rehearsing with juniors and seniors from across the state on the campus of Furman University. They rehearsed during the day Friday and Saturday under the expert direction of guest conductor, Dr. David Biedenbender of Michigan State University. The weekend culminated with a concert for family and friends on Sunday afternoon in McAlister Auditorium.
