Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is welcoming spring with a full slate of events designed to combine family fun, conservation, and hands-on gardening inspiration throughout the second quarter of 2026.
President and CEO Tommy Stringfellow emphasized that each visit helps support wildlife care locally and globally, whether guests are attending events, exploring the gardens, or enjoying the zoo’s attractions.
Spring 2026 Highlights
Members’ Night Out
June 12 | 6–9 p.m.
Riverbanks members can enjoy exclusive after-hours access, including keeper talks, animal encounters, and a more relaxed zoo experience. (Membership required; no guest passes.)
Spring Plant Sale
April 18 | 8–11 a.m.
Shop a curated selection of plants suited for Midlands gardens, grown and selected by Riverbanks’ horticulture team. Experts will be on hand for personalized advice.
Master Gardeners
April 18 & May 30 | 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Visitors can consult with Master Gardeners at the Botanical Garden for help with plant care, garden design, and seasonal tips.
Wine Tasting at the Botanical Garden
April 24 | 7–9 p.m.
This popular fundraiser offers wine samples, light bites, and live entertainment in a scenic garden setting. Proceeds support Riverbanks’ conservation efforts.
Riverbanks Run (5K)
May 16 | 7:15–9 a.m.
A unique 5K course winds through the zoo, giving runners and walkers a chance to support wildlife conservation while enjoying the grounds.
