The State Election Commission is reminding voters that the registration deadline for the Republican Presidential Primary is right around the corner. Voters must register by Thursday, January 25 to be eligible to vote in the Primary.
Voting is set to commence in South Carolina for the nomination of presidential candidates for the upcoming 2024 general election. Here are the details for early voting in Richland County:
Democratic PPP:
- Early voting: January 22 to February 2
- Primary date: February 3
- Richland County voters can participate in early voting or vote on February 3. Early voting concludes on January 28.
Republican PPP:
- Early voting: February 12 to February 22
- Primary date: February 24
- Richland County voters have the option to vote early or on February 24. Early voting will be closed on February 18-19.
Early Voting Locations (8:30 am to 6 pm):
- Voter Registration and Elections Office – 2020 Hampton Street, Columbia
- Richland County Early Voting Center – 2011 Hampton Street, Columbia
Accepted Photo IDs for In-Person Voting:
- S.C. driver’s license (standard license or REAL ID)
- S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles ID Card (standard ID card, REAL ID, or S.C. Concealed Weapons Permit)
- S.C. Voter Registration Card with photo
- Federal military ID (Department of Defense photo ID or Veterans Affairs benefits card)
- U.S. passport
