COLUMBIA – Capital City/Lake Murray Country (CCLMC) is recognizing Amy Roof Hoffman for 20 years of service to the regional tourism organization, celebrating a career that has contributed to tourism promotion and special events throughout the Capital City/Lake Murray Country region.

A graduate of Columbia College, Hoffman began her career in the events industry with the Greater Lexington Chamber of Commerce before joining CCLMC on July 3, 2006, as Special Events and Membership Coordinator.

During her early years with the organization, Hoffman managed several of CCLMC’s signature events, including Taste of Lake Murray and the annual Lake Murray Independence Day Celebration. She also coordinated national fishing tournaments and events at the Historic Lorick Plantation Home and the Lake Murray Country Visitors Center, helping promote Richland, Lexington, Newberry and Saluda counties to visitors.

After returning to CCLMC in 2015 as accounting bookkeeper, Hoffman assumed responsibility for financial management, payroll, the Visitor Center Gift Shop and other administrative operations. During a leadership transition in 2025, she served as interim president before being named Senior Director of Operations, the position she currently holds.

Over the past two decades, Hoffman has been involved in many of the organization’s major initiatives, including efforts to establish the Capital City/Lake Murray Country region as a destination for competitive bass fishing and regional tourism.

“Amy’s impact can’t be measured by a calendar,” said Executive Director Vickie Davis. “It is measured by the visitors she has welcomed, the communities she has served, and the legacy she continues to build, personally and professionally.”

In 2013, the South Carolina General Assembly adopted a concurrent resolution recognizing Hoffman’s service to CCLMC and her leadership in organizing Taste of Lake Murray, supporting the Lake Murray Independence Day Celebration and promoting tourism across the region.

CCLMC marked Hoffman’s 20-year milestone by thanking her for her leadership and continued commitment to the organization and the communities it serves.
