The Salvation Army of the Midlands would like to express their deepest appreciation and thanks to the Midlands community for generously donating at the red kettles this past Christmas season!

The Salvation Army of the Midlands Red Kettle Campaign raised a grand total of over $316,000 this past Christmas season. For the first time, a virtual red kettle raised over $18,000 contributing to the grand total. A virtual red kettle donation could be made on The Salvation Army of the Midlands website: doingthemostgood.org.

“Through strong community support, The Salvation Army of the Midlands was able to meet and exceed our goal this past year. The funds raised support our programs all year long combatting homelessness, helplessness and hardship in our community,” said Major Henry Morris, Area Commander of The Salvation Army of the Midlands.

The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance program provided toys, stockings, bikes and clothes to 2,758 children assisting 1,189 families. “Many lives were touched and much joy was spread through the Angel Tree program,” said Morris. “The Salvation Army of the Midlands is so grateful to the community for making Christmas 2020 such a wonderful success! We look forward to another great year in 2021!”

The Salvation Army will also acknowledge the 2020 Red Kettle sponsors: Baker and Baker Real Estate Developers, Bauknight Pietras & Stormer, P.A., HomeLight, IMG (Insurance Management Group) and Nelson Mullins.
