Going undefeated over three days of soccer play earned Blythewood the NIKE Palmetto Cup title in the boys division.

The Bengals clinched the trophy Wednesday at Saluda Shoals Park with a 6-0 win over Woodland to finish 2-0-1. The margin of victory allowed them to outpoint Legion Collegiate, which defeated Hammond School 4-0.

Host school Gray Collegiate finished third after shutting out Ben Lippen 4-0. Jason Gonzalez scored two goals and goalkeeper Joey Sullivan had six saves.

The girls division was won by Hammond which blanked Gray Collegiate 3-0. The Lady Skyhawks were 2-1 but managed to outpoint Legion Collegiate and the Lady War Eagles.
