Surrounded by his family, District Five businessman and parent Jason Baynham officially filed for the Richland County seat on the District Five School Board.

“It has been a thrill to get out on the campaign trail and meet our neighbors,” said Baynham.

“Now, the campaign officially begins, and I look forward to building on the momentum we’ve created.”

Baynham is a father of three District Five students and is married to his wife Lori. Baynham owns a local landscaping company and is active in the Dutch Fork Church worship team.

“I have a background of collaborating with people of all stripes, which prepares me well to work together to do what is best for students, teachers, parents and taxpayers. I look forward to continuing to learn and meet all stakeholders in the district. I ask for the citizens to join me. I am always an open book and I look forward to hearing from everyone.”

The election for school board takes place during the November 5th general election with early voting beginning on October 21st. Baynham can be contacted at JBaynhamforDistrict5.com and on Facebook.
