The Historic Melrose Art in the Yard (AIY) returns for the spring and will welcome art lovers and history buffs alike to the historic, downtown Columbia neighborhood.
Artists and artisans will sell their original work and as an added bonus, Historic Columbia’s Palladium Tour coincides with the festival.
The event will be held April 16 from 1 to 5 pm with art, multiple food trucks and live entertainment. While the AIY festival is free to the public, Historic Columbia’s Palladium tour is a ticketed event.
The April 16 AIY will be the ninth time the event has been held and will feature a tour of homes hosted by Historic Columbia. If you love the houses in Melrose, Historic Columbia’s Palladium Tour gives you the opportunity to tour six Craftsman-style homes near the festival. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the history and architecture of the neighborhood while enjoying Art in the Yard.

“The Historic Melrose neighborhood is looking forward to welcoming visitors and supporting the local arts scene on April 16th,” said Lila McCullough, one of the event organizers. “We will showcase a wide variety of artists and artisans in yards throughout the neighborhood and end with a free concert, and we are excited that Historic Columbia will be part of this event.”
The event will also be followed by live music featuring local performing artists, Ben Campbell and the Silver Dollars, starting at 5 pm. The art event is free and open to the public, but tickets will be required for the tour of homes. Information and maps will be available on Facebook and Instagram.
