July 12, the Honorable R. Allyce Bailey joined the ranks of the judges who make up Richland County’s Magistrate’s Court. County, city and state officials attended a swearing-in ceremony for Judge Bailey in the County’s Central Court.
Bailey, who formerly served as the County’s deputy attorney, was named one of Columbia Business Monthly’s Best & Brightest 35 and Under in 2023.
Magistrate’s Court conducts hearings for a range of offenses, including preliminary hearings for General Sessions cases, daily bail bond hearings and criminal hearings for crimes such as domestic violence.
