Two-day event brings bluegrass and Americana stars to downtown Columbia

A new music festival is taking flight in the heart of downtown Columbia as the inaugural Songbird Festival 26 arrives May 30–31 at Finlay Park.

Presented in part by the City of Columbia, the two-day event will feature 18 artists across two stages, showcasing a mix of nationally touring acts, regional favorites, and local performers rooted in bluegrass, Americana, and songwriting traditions.

Headliners include Old Crow Medicine Show and Sam Bush, with additional performances by The Infamous Stringdusters, Shadowgrass, Futurebirds, Susto String Band, The Blue Dogs, Sam Burchfield and others.

Music begins each day at 11 a.m. on the main stage and Greenway stage, with continuous performances leading into nightly headlining sets.

Festival weekend kicks off Friday evening with a free Finlay Fridays concert featuring The Water Kickers, offering an early preview and open invitation for the community.

Saturday’s lineup builds toward performances by The Infamous Stringdusters and Old Crow Medicine Show, while Sunday features acts including the B. Wrights — with Mark Bryan and Jim Sonefeld — before closing with Sam Bush.
