Leeza Gibbons, founder of Leeza’s Care Connection, celebrated her birthday alongside her late mother’s legacy during a community gathering March 30.

The event, Light Bites and Live Music with Leeza, was held at the organization’s location on St. Andrews Road and welcomed community members for an afternoon of cake, music, and connection. The celebration also served as a fundraiser to support Leeza’s Care Connection and its mission of assisting caregivers and their families.

Founded in honor of her mother, Jean, who passed away in 2008 following a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, the organization provides resources, education, and a support network for those caring for loved ones.

“I wish this had been available when we went through this journey,” Gibbons said.

Through its programs, Leeza’s Care Connection helps caregivers develop skills, build resilience, and maintain their own well-being while caring for others.

The organization is located at 201 St. Andrews Road and can be reached at 803-888-7525.
