Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital has been named one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2026 “100 Great Community Hospitals,” earning national recognition for delivering exceptional clinical care and serving as a vital healthcare resource for the Midlands. Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital was the only other South Carolina hospital included on this year’s list.
The annual recognition honors community hospitals that demonstrate outstanding patient outcomes, clinical excellence, and a strong commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of their communities.
“This recognition reflects Prisma Health’s commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care at the right place and the right time for our communities,” said Clarence Sevillian, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Prisma Health. “A nod to our outstanding community hospitals is particularly meaningful because it affirms that our patients are able to access some of the best care in the country, close to home, with the advanced resources of our larger system.”
Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge is a 76-bed community hospital in Columbia that was recognized for its patient-centered approach and commitment to clinical excellence.
The hospital received several notable honors over the past year, including Magnet with Distinction designation in 2025, recognition by U.S. News & World Report as a 2026 High Performing Hospital for Maternity Care, and an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group in spring 2026.
In addition, the Women’s Choice Awards named Baptist Parkridge one of America’s Best Hospitals for 2025-26, recognizing excellence in specialties including heart and stroke care, orthopedics, and obstetrics. The hospital also continues to expand access to advanced orthopedic care, imaging services, and robotic-assisted surgery.
Becker’s Hospital Review is a leading source of healthcare business and clinical news. Its annual “100 Great Community Hospitals” list recognizes hospitals that provide accessible, affordable, high-quality care while making a significant impact in the communities they serve.
