Richland Northeast High School has announced the inaugural inductees to its Athletics Hall of Fame.
They are: Rick Grich (former Coach/Athletic Director – 1978-1998), Portia George-Morrow (Girl’s Tennis- Class of 1985), Ryan Bethea (Football, Basketball, Baseball – Class of 1985), Charles “Chuck” Lee (Boy’s Tennis – Class of 1988), AAron Lucas (Boy’s Basketball – Class of 1998), Airese Currie (Track & Field, Football, Basketball – Class of 2001), Bryn Post (Girl’s Soccer – Class of 2002), and Laura Boozer Wentzky (Volleyball, Softball, Basketball – Class of 2004).
The Induction Ceremony will take place September 6 at 1 pm in the upstairs gymnasium mezzanine at 7500 Brookfield Road in Columbia. The inductees will also be recognized during halftime of the annual on campus varsity football game that night against Crestwood.
Members of the public may attend the induction ceremony but there is a limited amount of seating available so you must RSVP with Kathy Wyant at [email protected] by no later than September 3.
