The South Carolina State Museum is thrilled to announce the return of its engaging and educational camps for children aged 6 to 12 years old in 2024, presented by Aflac. Registration for both spring break and summer camps is now open, offering children a unique opportunity to explore various themes while having fun and learning.

Spring Break Camps: April 1 – April 5

  • Time: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm (Extended Day Camp available until 5:30 pm for an additional fee)

  • Description: Each day of the spring break camps will focus on a different subject matter, including science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Campers will engage in hands-on activities, explore the museum, enjoy snacks and lunch, and socialize with fellow campers. Age-appropriate groups for 6-8 and 9-12-year-olds will be formed.

    Daily Themes:

    • April 1: ET Phone Gnome
    • April 2: Healthy Humans
    • April 3: Coding by Color
    • April 4: Young Paleontologists
    • April 5: Quirky SC

Summer Camps: June – August

  • Description: Running from June until August, summer camps offer week-long adventures for campers. Participants will explore the museum, enjoy 4D and planetarium shows, and engage in problem-based educational activities and STEM projects. Camps are tailored for different age groups, 6-8 and 9-12.

    Camps for 9-12 Year-Olds:
