This season, the SC Philharmonic is celebrating the opening of the 22/23 Masterworks Series with Philtober Fest.

“We wanted to create something that we could invite the community to,” said SCP Marketing Director Chad Henderson. “Philtober Fest is going to be a good old-fashioned outdoor concert with food and drink. Though the music performances aren’t classical, they will provide a wonderful primer to our opening night concert later in the evening. Bluegrass, blues and Americana will provide the perfect transition into Tessa Lark’s performance of Michael Torke’s Sky that night inside the Koger Center. The (SC) Phil is dedicated to engaging with our community and providing diverse musical experiences.”

Audiences will be able to buy food from Thirsty Fellow Concessions which will be offering pizza, hot dogs and other treats. A favorite at the Soda City Market, Brown Sistaz Island Vibz will also be offering their authentic Jamaican cuisine freshly made from Jamaican ingredients. Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by UofSC catering.
