After receiving final approval from the South Carolina Commerce Department, The Big Red Barn Retreat has announced the 3rd Annual Summer Jam concert presented by Sonic DriveIn. The concert will be held on September 18 from 7 – 10:30 pm at the Palmetto Citizens Amphitheater at Doko Meadows Park in Blythewood. Gates will open at 4 pm.

The concert will feature a live acoustic performance by country music legend, John Anderson. Keeping with a Summer Jam tradition, Carter Lybrand, a member of the military and local country music performing artist, will open for John Anderson. Local celebrity, CammWess, local to Blythewood and The Voice contestant, is set to sing the National Anthem.

General admission tickets are $20 online in-advance and $30 at the gate. $15 online in-advance only military discount. Children 12 and one are free. Cash and credit/debit will be accepted at the gate. To buy tickets and download a full list of sponsorship opportunities or for more information, please visit www.thebigredbarnretreat.org/summerjam.

There will be a variety of food vendors on site. Beer and soft drinks sales will benefit The Big Red Barn Retreat. No coolers will be allowed. All attendees will be asked to bring their own blankets or chairs to sit on. All event proceeds will benefit programs, classes, and workshops provided at no cost to veterans, active-duty military and their families that are struggling with military and combat-related stress issues, like PTSD.

In order to comply with all CDC guidelines, all attendees and concert-goers will be required to wear face coverings at all places except for designated marked areas for seating while enjoying the concert. All participants are asked to wear a mask when moving around the park, to and from their seats, to get food and beverages, and to go to the bathroom. Additionally, all attendees will be asked to adhere to current social distancing guidelines and remain 6’ apart while at the concert. The concert viewing area in front of the stage will be sectioned off for seated participants with circles, so concert-goers can easily social distance themselves with a maximum of two adults or one family occupying a circle. All volunteers will also follow CDC guidelines when interacting with attendees and serving attendees, that includes wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing
